Welcome to
Anvil Falls!

Anvil Falls celebrates life in Maine as seen through the eyes of its townsfolk: Town Manager Washburn Beaver, Transfer Station workers Prescott R. Doojobby and Louie Stunnskunk, as well as Roman Moose, Jack B. Bear, Kenny Bunkporter, and Benjamin D. Foxcroft.

Anvil Falls runs every Sunday in these newspapers throughout Maine :

The Sun Journal is the flagship newspaper of Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties – the heart of Maine’s mill-town revival.

Central Maine Sunday covers Waldo, Somerset, Franklin and Kennebec counties and is delivered to 73 cities and towns in Central Maine.

The Sunday Drive

52 in ‘25 is rebranding! Originally this piece appeared on Sundays in the Sun Journal. Since there are about fifty major communities in Western Maine, 52 in ‘25 represented an attempt for 2025, in which Anvil Falls would be celebrating each regional town with its own comic highlighting each town’s place in Maine’s history and culture. To make things even more fun, each town’s unique tale was told in the time-honored tradition of the limerick. These were appearing in the Sun Journal, which serves Western Maine’s Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties. They will continue to appear here, BUT, starting very soon, the Sunday feature will expand to include more towns across the entire state! This feature will appear in your local Maine paper every Sunday, beyond 2025, and will now be called the Sunday Drive!
